Together with Stayner Care Centre and Mill Creek Care Centre, triOS College wants to help you get your Personal Support Worker certificate at no cost to you with special grant funding provided through the Canada Ontario Job Grant program. Training will be provided in Barrie, Ontario and there will be 20 spots available for immediate employment after successfully passing the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) exam.
Sponsored candidates will be selected by passing admissions assessments, meeting the admission requirements and having an interview with either Stayner Care Centre or Mill Creek Care Centre.
To qualify, you must attend one of the free information sessions on either Saturday, May 26th at 11 a.m. or Saturday, June 2nd at 11 a.m..

The Personal Support Worker Program at triOS
Success in today’s healthcare world depends on having well trained employees who can multi-task to meet a variety of challenges. The triOS Personal Support Worker (PSW) program has been designed to provide students with all of the administrative and clinical knowledge and skills required for employment as a Personal Support Worker.
The Personal Support Worker program enables you to develop skills required to provide personal support services to patients and their families, clients, and residents in the community, at home, in hospitals and in long-term care facilities. Services provided by the PSW include assistance in routine daily living activities; mobility; personal care and hygiene; ongoing medical conditions; and management of household activities.
Students receive:
• National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) curriculum that maps to the Ontario Provincial approved training standard
• Classroom is in a real-world healthcare settings, on-site at a retirement facility that includes hospital beds, wheel chairs and other required equipment
• Clinical work placement in a community and long-term care facility
• Microsoft Office, Microsoft Imagine Standard and Windows are included in the program fees
Employment Opportunities
After completing your Personal Support Worker program and successfully passing the NACC exam, you will have the opportunity to become employed at either Stayner Care Centre or Mill Creek Care Centre and begin your career working in the healthcare sector.

Stayner Care Centre (formerly Stayner Nursing Home) is a 49 Bed Long Term Care home located in Stayner, Ontario. Recently welcomed into the Jarlette Health Services Family in September of 2015, Stayner Care Centre provides exceptionally high standards of compassionate and resident-focused nursing and personal support.
About Mill Creek Care Centre
Mill Creek Care Centre (MCCC) is a charitable, non-profit, Christian home for residents needing LTC living. MCCC Long Term Care Home is located within Tollendale Village. Our home is strongly grounded on Christian traditions and principles, while welcoming residents of all faiths, backgrounds and beliefs. Mill Creek Care Centre is home to 160 residents. Our home has 5 Resident Home Areas (RHA) which provides living accommodations for 32 residents on each home area.
It is situated within Tollendale Village at 286 Hurst Drive in Barrie on the south side of Kempenfelt Bay. The Village is in close proximity to the downtown area and is accessible by the municipal bus services.
