In Loving Memory Of Alex Jarlette

Jarlette Health Services Head Office - Midland, Ontario

It is with deepest sympathies that Jarlette Health Services announces the loss of organization founder, Alex Jarlette. Alex passed peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 3rd in his long-time hometown of Midland, Ontario.

Alex was lion-hearted in both spirit and entrepreneurial tenacity. His larger-than-life personality extended to every facet of the organization, and helped foster the tradition of excellence in care that has become the touchstone of Jarlette Health Services.

While Alex will truly be missed, his passion will continue to live on in the organization’s collaborative pursuit of making an outstanding difference in the lives of the residents, families, staff and communities it serves.

Alex’s contributions to seniors’ care extended beyond the Jarlette organization itself. An active member of the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) and the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA), Alex volunteered his time as Board Chair of OLTCA and in other such capacities to advocate for all residents, their families and staff. In addition to his work in the Retirement and Long Term Care sectors, Alex was also a cornerstone of the Rotary Club. His community-driven work is immeasurable, and continues to have a positive impact on the lives of others to this day.

The Jarlette Family, and the entire organization, is committed to the continuation of the legacy first started by Alex and his late wife, Roberta “Bobbie” Jarlette 49 years ago at The Villa Care Centre in Midland, Ontario.

Under the leadership of President, David Jarlette, alongside our existing Management Team, we look forward to the many opportunities on the horizon for Jarlette Health Services, including the redevelopment projects currently underway.

Jarlette Health Services will share information regarding a celebration of life as it becomes available.
