Staff Bowl for Big Brothers/Sisters in Huntsville

On February 24th, 2014, 11 staff (RPN, 2 PSW’s, PTA, Cook, and 6 Managers) volunteered their time to participate in the 2nd Annual “Bowl for Kids’ Sake” a Fundraiser for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Muskoka. Not only were we able to raise money for a great local cause, we ended up coming together as a team and had a lot of fun in the process.

“What a great night, lots of smiles and laughs had by all, I want to start practising for next year,” remarked the staff at Muskoka Landing.

Out of the 8 teams who took part in the fundraiser, our team raised the most amount of money for the second year in a row. Our Physiotherapy Assistant won 2 tickets to see the Shrek Musical at the Algonquin Theatre by standing backwards to bowl- and getting a strike! Carol von Roenn, Volunteer Coordinator, won 2 day passes at Hidden Valley Highlands for being the overall highest fundraiser of the evening!

Thank you to all who participated: Pamm Reain, Carol von Roenn, Tracy MacDonald, Jennifer Mino, Karen Hartwick, Chrissy McFayden, Noelle Ollerton, Jodi Campbell, Sadie Kaj and Carrie Acton!

Overall, the Muskoka Landing Team raised just under $1,300 for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Muskoka!

"Congrats to your teams from Muskoka Landing!  I hear you were the fundraising champs – well done and thanks so much for the strong showing of support!  Hope to see you all there again next year."

Kind regards,
Rebecca Paul
