Note: Residents are encouraged to bring furniture and personal belongings that help to make Roberta Place their home. Residents are also encouraged to be involved, when possible, with many of the resident committees at Rberta Place helping us to further improve upon such things as the menus, programs and entertainment we offer.

Try us out!

As well as the many amenities detailed above, Roberta Place does provide rooms designated for the community to utilize when wanting a temporary stay for their loved one. Many people have used this 'short stay' service as a convenient alternative to providing care when a loved one is in need of care for an extended (however, not permanent) period of time. It provides a chance for caregivers to obtain a break from the often rigorous and trying environment of caring for a loved family member while granting peace of mind as they are assured to receive 24-hour care. Often, these cases lead to repeat use after having such a positive experience

Volunteer Opportunities

The best part about being a volunteer is seeing the smile that you are able to put on someone's face; it is very rewarding!  Roberta Place offers a variety of volunteer opportunities. We strive to enrich the lives of our residents while building on the strengths of our volunteers. Come in, join our team and share your talents with a wonderful group of people.

How to Become a Volunteer

To become a volunteer or simply get more information call the Co-Ordinator of Volunteer Services to arrange a meeting. We will discuss your interests and goals and possible volunteer roles. You will be provided with orientation, training and supervision so that you are comfortable in your role as a volunteer.

Roberta Place Volunteer Opportunities: Friendly visiting, serve tea and coffee in the dining room, escort to programs, manicures, letter writing, gardening, music, games or a stroll in the garden.
The possibilities are as vast as your imagination!
