Leacock Care Centre

Leacock Care Centre is a fully accredited long term care home located at 25 Museum Drive in Orillia, Ontario. Close to the historic Leacock Point, Leacock is adjacent to a residential neighbourhood, near to schools, churches, parks and of course, Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe. We offer 145 long term care beds in private or basic accommodation.

Our Home is the proud recipient of the 2018 Jarlette Health Services Quality Award for Customer Choice. Leacock is a strong leader in advocating for our Residents by submitting signatures to the OLTCA Better Seniors Care Campaign, and receiving Gold standing amongst long term care homes in Ontario.

We also participate in the Second Wind Dreams program that provides the opportunity for seniors to live their dreams and provide innovative educational programs to caregivers and their communities. At Leacock we strive to empower our Residents to live joyfully and ecstatically through different activities.

Leacock Care Centre is always looking for passionate volunteers. If you or someone you know would like to make an outstanding difference in the lives of our Residents, contact Leigh Ann Febrey at extension 324 today!

  • large-quotes

"If is difficult to find the words to appropriately express our appreciation for the care extended to my father who, at times, inappropriately acted out his frustrations in dealing with his disease. Yet, the care givers in Unit 5 were able to muster professionalism and react appropriately by saying "Hello, in there Can I be your friend!". Had he been aware, he would have been pleased with their responsiveness to his needs. Your entire staff, from the kitchen to the laundry to the professionals and volunteer should be commended for the job they are doing to make the Leacock Care Centre what it is today. In particular we will always remember the concern and caring demonstrated prior to and subsequent to Edward's passing. There were few dry eyes as your caring staff said their "good byes" to a man they had known for a very short time. Our only wish is that they could have known him before he was stricken with this horrible disease. Keep up the good work. It is very much appreciated. Again, thank you"
