IPAC Coordinator

Join our team as an IPAC Coordinator!
The IPAC Coordinator, is accountable and responsible for providing infection and prevention control expertise and leadership in the implementation of program initiatives and deliverables; developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating infection control programs as well as building capacity internally and externally to detect and manage infection prevention and control (IPAC) issues while serving the needs of resident, families and colleagues.
The following traits and qualifications are required:
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.O. Reg. 79/10, s. 4 is preferred
- Certification through IPAC Canada preferred
- 1 year experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferred
- 2 years experience of relevant infection prevention and control related experience with a comprehensive understanding of IPAC practices and program service delivery.
- Demonstrated skills in program planning, implementation, evaluation and ability to contribute to continuous quality improvement in relation to infection prevention and control
- Ability to conduct effective infection risk assessments, problem solving, and conflict resolution to respond to issues with tact, diplomacy and professionalism
- Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
- Must be computer literate
- Must demonstrate strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
