As a Butterfly Model Manager at Jarlette Health Services, The Butterfly Model of Dementia Care is a philosophy of care that emphasizes the importance of each resident's emotional well being above day-to-day tasks and operational issues. The model accomplishes this by creating a culture that supports positive, bidirectional relationships between staff and residents, and staff and families. Staff bring their authentic self to work each day and share their human experience with the people in their care. The drive for human connection is a basic human need and it is through these positive connections that residents, and staff, enjoy a greater quality of life and work experience. This is not accomplished by a single person but instead through the ongoing and concerted effort by families, leadership, fellow team members, as well as the larger community. The successful candidate for this position will act as the conductor bringing all elements of the model together to ensure the successful implementation of the culture change within the home and the organization.
