As Cook you are an integral part of our service team, enriching the lives of our residents through a quality culinary experience. Working side by side with the Culinary Manager, you will be responsible for the daily preparation of menu items,  maintaining a clean sanitary professional working space and helping with the presentation of menu items for service. As well as other duties as assigned. 

 

The following traits and qualifications are required:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both wirtten and verbally, in the English language
  • Dependable, responsible and an ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently. 
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude necessary to meet the goals and standards of the lodge.
  • Capable of working in fast-paced environment
  • Experience in food prepariton in restaurant or similar food operation
  • Experience in facilitites kitchen an asset
  • Post-Secondary education in a hospitality/culinary program an asset
  • A valid Safe Food Handler's Certificate from local Public Health, or equivalent food handling training program
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR, First Aid and WHMIS training an asset
