Julia leads Jarlette Health Services' senior team to achieve operations and service excellence, driving positive outcomes for our residents, their family members, and our team members through her commitment to fostering a culture that is focused on the person, their engagement and a culture of excellence. She is humbled by the organization's success and accomplishments over more than 50 years, and remains committed to making an outstanding difference in the lives of others while advancing the organization's strategic plan.
A Registered Nurse with 33 years of experience, Julia graduated from Conestoga College�s diploma nursing program and pursued education through Seneca College, gaining her Operating Room certificate. After beginning her career by gaining valuable frontline experience in the acute care sector, she transitioned into the world of senior living in 1995 and has never looked back. Dedicated to continuing education, Julia has pursued studies such as Long Term Care Departmental Management and Long Term Care Organization and Management through the Canadian Health Association, and completed the Finance, Strategy and Leadership Program through Queen's University.
Having served in a variety of capacities, both at the home level and organization wide, Julia's career has afforded her the ability to grow professionally through her experiences as Director of Care, Administrator, Regional Manager, Corporate Director of Care - Education, Vice President of Clinical Services, Director of Long Term Care Operations and today is honoured to serve as the Chief Operating Officer of Jarlette Health Services.
Julia has been an active member of a variety of provincial committees, including the Resident Care and Services Committee and the Quality Committee with the Ontario Long Term Care Association (OLTCA) and the Medication Management Task Force with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. A past member of the Board of Directors of the OLTCA from 2016-2021, during which time, she served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Association�s Advocacy / Government Relations Committee.
Julia resides with her husband Jason and daughter Emily in the Midland area. Family life has centered around Emily's passion and drive in the competitive sports arena, and together as a family they have enjoyed and appreciated the opportunities to travel both locally and abroad.
