Thank-you for supporting our efforts!

Meadow Park - Chatham, Ontario

It's been a busy first quarter of 2018 with staff and residents joining together to promote the priorities of the 2018 Better
Seniors' Care Campaign. This is the second year the Chatham home has encouraged staff to actively participate in the
campaign with the introduction of "Care Bucks".  Staff have been earning care bucks since early January when
demonstrating teamwork and completing education.  They have been going above and beyond when providing care for
the residents at the 99 bed long-term care home earning over 3,500 care bucks.  This year the additonal step of
encouraging staff to collect addresses for the campaign proved to be an excellent strategy to engage staff in the Better
Seniors' Care campaign.  With the help of dedicated staff, Meadow Park Chatham was able to collect just over 1,500
names and addresses to submit to Ontario MPP's.  Not bad for a small home in Chatham, Ontario!
Local Chatham-Kent-Essex MPP, Rick Nicholl's also stopped in to lead his traditional sing-along with the residents.  We
greatly appreciate his support and taking time to listen to our concerns and meet with the residents.
Chatham also wishes to extend great thanks to a sister home, Bayfield House Retirement Lodge in Penetanguishene for
their assistance to collect addresses on behalf of the Chatham home.  The staff and residents of Bayfield House were
able to collect 164 addresses. Thank-you Bayfield House!
Meadow Park Chatham is very proud of their efforts to participate in this campaign with hopes of making a difference for
residents and staff today and in the future.  We wish to thank everyone who took a moment to listen to the priorities, lend
their name and address, and share our message.  It goes to show that even a small home can make an impact.
