Alexander Place - Waterdown, Long-Term Care

This year, Alexander Place has nominated long-standing volunteer, Corey Quibell, for the OLTCA Circle of Excellence Award. This award program was created to recognize the significant contributions of those who give back to a long-term care home in Ontario (OLTCA, 2017).
This year’s award winner from Alexander Place, Corey Quibell, is an excellent representative of a person who contributes to the positive atmosphere of a long-term care home. Corey began volunteering at Alexander Place in July of 2007 and remains a dedicated volunteer today. In his ten years volunteering at Alexander Place, Corey has dedicated nearly one-thousand hours of his time, completing tasks such as assisting with special events, facilitating resident Bingo programs on Friday nights, and serving as the treasurer for the “Friends of Alexander Place”, Alexander Place’s charitable organization.
Corey’s commitment and enthusiasm for volunteering with the residents of Alexander Place is truly inspiring, and it is clear to see that he brings joy to the residents every time that he visits.
