Going for Gold for Our Seniors!

Residents and staff embrace the OLTCA's 2018 Campaign

Meadow Park - Chatham, Ontario

Residents and staff have been doing their best to raise awareness and show support of the Ontario Long Term Care Associations, Better Seniors' Care Campaign.  With the winter olympics on the horizon Meadow Park will be celebrating seniors by Going for Gold to promote the following priorities:

1) More care, with the addition of more staff.

2) Better care, by having a Behavioural Supports Ontario (BSO) team in every home.

3) More care, by adding more beds to the system.

4) Better care, by enhancing the captial renewal program so that more homes can redevelop.

During the months of January to March Meadow Park Chatham staff will be earning "Care Bucks" and both residents and staff will be partcipating in a Winter Olympics mini-stick shoot-a-thon to have some fun and raise awareness.  Head office has even jumped on board to help out Jarlette Homes raise awareness and submit letters.  Thank-you Julia and Judy for submitting a letter during a recent visit!

Last year the home began the tradition of decorating our dining room tree mural with each resident's photo. This year we'll be donning the tree with gold medals representing each resident we care for.

We'll also be spending some time with our local MPP Mr. Rick Nicholl's - he'll be here to lead his traditional sing-a-long with the residents in February.

We hope we can count on your support to spread the message about Better Seniors' Care!  Simply visit to send a letter to your local MPP.  Don't forget to choose Meadow Park Chatham when asked which home you wish to send your letter on behalf of. We thank-you for your support - it only takes a moment to help make change happen!
