"Cookies for Council" Kicks off the 2017 Better Seniors' Care Campaign

Meadow Park - Chatham, Long Term Care

Staff and members of the Meadow Park Chatham - Residents' Council encourage you to support Better Seniors' Care during their Fundraiser entitled "Cookies for Council".

What better way to kick off the 2017 "Better Seniors' Care" Campaign than with cookies! This coming February 7th and 8th the Residents' Council at Meadow Park Chatham will be selling cookies to not only fundraise for their Summer Grant Student, but to raise awareness about the 2017 Ontario Long Term Care Association's "BetterSeniors' Care" campaign. Since this campaign launched back in 2014, residents and staff across Ontario including Jarlette Health Services Long-Term Care homes have sent more than 42,300 letters, tweets and phone calls to politicians to support better care for our seniors. Now that is something to be proud of!

The Chatham home will not only sell cookies to raise awareness but they will host a "Better Seniors'' Care Vendor Fair this coming March 15, 2017. Multiple vendors will be on site to highlight the exceptional care and services offered at the home.

Chatham-Kent-Essex MPP, Rick Nicholls, will also be stopping in for his traditional "Sing-A-Long with Rick"  to meet with residents, staff and the Family Council President to discuss the campaign. Meadow Park Chatham invites you to come out and join them in raising awareness about the OLTCA Better Seniors' Care campaign. Stop in for a visit, order some cookies, and join us at the Vendor Fair on March 15th.

Visit www.BetterSeniorsCare.ca to sign the petition and learn more about the priorites of the 2017 campaign.
