A December to Remember
A Few of Our Favourite Things About Christmas
Temiskaming Lodge - Long Term Care Tri-Town
December was a busy month at the Temiskaming Lodge. We had many school groups in to sing for the residents and to bring some Christmas crafts and cards. We also had some church choirs and special entertainment and some community groups also came in to deliver cards and cheer. Our Resident Christmas Party was a huge success. Santa was in the building to deliver gifts to all the residents, which were provided by the Volunteer Auxiliary.
The Sunshine Boys entertained the residents and their families while they enjoyed some delicious treats and refreshments. Before the party ended, the Residents Choir sang some beautiful Christmas carols. Mr. Duguay and Mrs. Fielder both sang a solo of Silent Night. Mr. Duguay sang in French. They both did a great job!
On December 24th, we had our annual Egg Nog Party. The residents sang along with the choir while they enjoyed egg nog and treats. Thank you to all the wonderful people who helped brighten our Home at Christmas time. We are truly grateful for our community and their support of the residents during this festive season.
